Spirit Lake senior Cooper Winkel flew over the 110 meter hurdles with a career-best time of 13.98 to finish runner-up in the finals at the 115th Drake Relays on Friday.
“This is an awesome environment,” Winkel said. “Lots of fans in the stands. It's awesome to hear the crowd cheer for you as we’re running down the home stretch. I’m happy to be back here at the Drake Relays.”
