State prosecutors: Decker isn't entitled to new trial in 2020 murder case

State prosecutors have filed resistance to a request for a new trial in the case against Allison Marie Decker, who was convicted in 2022 of murdering a Lake Park woman.

Decker was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole and previously filed an appeal, but she dismissed that request in early 2023 in preparation for a motion for post conviction relief — a separate action in which a defendant raises issues in a case after the judgement has been entered.
