In the bottom of the seventh, Spirit Lake leadoff batter Taylor Tungland reached on an error and pinch runner Avery Beisell stole second base before advancing to third on a passed ball. A one-out single by Addison Boon scored Beisell and sent the Indians on to victory.

Remsen St. Mary’s scored two runs in the first, two more in the second, three in the third and seven in the sixth.

Harris-Lake Park’s softball team ran into a buzzsaw Monday night, as the Wolves dropped a home game to third-ranked (1A) Remsen St. Mary’s. The Hawks topped the Wolves 11-0 in Lake Park.

After two scoreless innings, Remsen St. Mary’s plated six in the third, four in the fourth and one in the fifth to end the night early.

Harris-Lake Park’s softball team went 0-2 at a tournament hosted by Storm Lake on Saturday, June 3. The Wolves fell 7-4 to Denison-Schleswig and 11-0 to AHSTW.

In their loss to the Monarchs, the Wolves opened with a 1-0 lead after a run in the opening frame. However, Denison-Schleswig answered with a run in the second and another in the third to take a 2-1 advantage.

Okoboji’s baseball team dropped a Siouxland Conference road game to Central Lyon on Friday, June 2. The Lions fell behind early, but stormed back to earn a 9-4 victory over the Pioneers in Rock Rapids.
