Spirit Lake ended its softball season with a first-round loss to MOC-Floyd Valley on Thursday, July 11. After opening the game with a four-run first inning, the Dutchmen defeated the Indians 10-6 in Orange City.

“Unfortunately, we weren't able to get our bats going soon enough to make up for the big inning we gave up,” Spirit Lake coach Karli Olsen said.
