Spirit Lake’s girls track team earned a top-10 finish at the Ruth Marske Invitational held Monday, March 27 on the campus of South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota. The Indians totaled 24 team points to place ninth out of 19 teams from Iowa, South Dakota and Minnesota.

Lauren Travis earned the Indians’ highest finish, placing second in the shot put with her throw of 39 feet, 8.5 inches. Fran Travis placed 10th in the event with her throw of 36 feet, 5.75 inches.
