Spirit Lake will join the Siouxland Conference no later than the 2026-27 school year — but one of the Siouxland’s current members will likely not be there when the Indians arrive.

Sibley-Ocheyedan — a former Lakes and current Siouxland Conference member — has applied to the 11-member War Eagle Conference.

WEC member Harris-Lake Park’s school board held a noon special meeting on Wednesday to consider Sibley-Ocheyedan’s admission.
