Pioneers struggle against Rebels, Braves in home tournament

Okoboji softball hosted Sioux Central and Cherokee for a home tournament on Saturday, June 28, falling to the Rebels 8-0 (five innings) and the Braves 9-6.
The Pioneers were kept off the bases against Sioux Central outside of Laylah Kalsow reaching first off an error. Six Pioneers struck out and the Rebels did not give up a free base. Meanwhile, Sioux Central set the tone early with three runs in the first inning and repeated their production in the fifth inning to run-rule.
