Okoboji’s Brynn Ness stepped up to the plate with Grace Hagedorn and the winning run on second base, the senior putting the ball into play to allow Hagedorn to score in a 7-6 win over Central Lyon on Wednesday, June 18 to earn a Siouxland Conference sweep.
“I hadn't been hitting the ball very well the last couple games, and I just kind of was talking to myself up,” Ness said. “I think hearing my teammates in the dugout helped my confidence. I got down 2-2 and saw my pitch.”
