Pearson Lakes Art Center celebrates 60 years as cultural hub

The Pearson Lakes Art Center (PLAC) celebrated 60 years as a cultural cornerstone for the Iowa Great Lakes with featured exhibits, a book and a podcast on Thursday, April 3.

A pair of recent projects documented the institution's history: Jonathan Reed's book, "Erasing Gray," and a special episode of the “Okoboji Project Podcast.”

Reed's three-year research project revealed that PLAC's origins were more humble than many realize.
