Okoboji schools break ground on new elementary school, high school additions

After a decade of growth and enrollment numbers jumping by 50%, Okoboji Community Schools officially broke ground Monday on two construction projects to reshape education in the lakeside district. 

The ceremonial groundbreaking marked the start of phase one of a $69 million bond, seeking high school renovation and an entirely new elementary school. This also marks the largest bond issue in district history.
