Burial will be at St. Margaret Cemetery in Spirit Lake. A visitation for Mary will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday at Turner Jenness Funeral Home.

A funeral service for Katherine Branstetter, age 97, of Milford was held Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, at Harbor of Joy Lutheran Church in Milford. Burial was at Milford Cemetery. A celebration of life gathering is also being planned for the summer of 2024.

A memorial service for Ken Ashland, age 92, of Spirit Lake, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, at Grace Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery. A visitation for Ken will take place from 9-11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church.

Memorials in honor or Ken can be given to Grace Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake.

Julie was a long-time member of Bethesda Lutheran Church.

Tom Edward Albin, of Spirit Lake and formally of Elk Point, South Dakota, passed away at the age of 76 on Sunday Dec. 17, 2023, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024 at Kober Funeral Home in Elk Point, South Dakota. Burial of Ashes will be at Alsburg Cemetery after the service with Military rites.

Luverne Dale Stinehart was born on Oct. 1, 1935, in Milford to Roland and Gladys (Morgan) Stinehart. Verne passed away on Jan. 2, 2024, at Spencer Hospital at 88 years of age.

With heavy hearts, the family of 44-year-old Heidi Brittain share news of her passing. A visitation for Heidi will be held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20 at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake with service to follow at 4 p.m. A celebration of life for Heidi will be held in June of 2024. Jerry Wittrock of Ubana, Missouri, passed away on Dec. 25, 2023, in Fort Madison, Iowa, peacefully in his sleep at the home of a daughter.

He was born and raised in Milford, helping his family farm. After graduation, he spent two years in the Army and then married and raised five children on a farm in Spirit Lake.
