A memorial service for Ronald Newgard, age 80, was held Wednesday, Oct.12, 2022, at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake.

Don and Leota (Babe) Newgard were blessed with a baby boy on Sept. 11, 1942, Ronald Omer Newgard. They took him home to the North Shore of Pickerel Lake. Ron received his education at Webb School and graduated in 1961. The next year, he joined the National Guard.

A funeral service for Kathy Johnson, age 86, of Okoboji, was held Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Spencer. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery in Terril.

Katharina (Kathy) Johnson, the daughter of Adam and Elisabeth (Tewald) Szack, was born in Tofu, Hungary. She received her education in Hungary and Austria where she lived for five years and later graduated from Spencer High School.

David McBreen, age 70, of Marana, Arizona, formerly of Spirit Lake passed away unexpectedly while visiting family and friends back in Lakes Area. He was the father of Chris and Jill.

Michael M. Malone, age 80, of Spirit Lake, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022, at Accura Healthcare of Spirit Lake.

A memorial service for Craig Heuer, age 64, of Lake Park, was held Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Lake Park. Burial was at Silver Lake Cemetery in Lake Park.

Craig Clayton Heuer was born on Dec. 1, 1957, at Worthington, Minnesota. He was the son of Lyle and Phyllis (Reimers) Heuer. He attended Harris-Lake Park Community School graduating in 1976.

Gordon Lee Espelund of Spirit Lake passed on peacefully on Saturday Oct. 8, 2022, at the age of 88. After several months of declining health, Gordon died comfortably with his beloved wife Ruth by his side at Lakes Regional Hospital.

A memorial service for Jerry Daugherty, age 84, of Milford, was held Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022, at Calvary United Methodist Church in Arnolds Park.

Jerry Jay Daugherty, the son of Raymond and Mildred (Hamrick) Daugherty, was born May 19, 1938, in Greenville. After Jerry graduated from Greenville Rossie High School in 1956, he made his home in Milford in 1957.

Beth Mary Bramhall passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022, at Lakes Regional Healthcare. She was born on May 26, 1969, the daughter of Theodore Kennedy and Sandra (Johnson) Kennedy.
