A private service will be held in December for Marlene Stokka, age 80, of Milford. A memorial fund has been established with funds being given to Marlene's favorite charities.

Marlene Frances Stokka, the daughter of Vernon and Elva (Anderson) Tripp, was born May 8, 1942, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After graduating high school, Marlene received her nursing degree at the Methodist Kahler School of Nursing.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Sandra Long, age 81, of Spencer was held Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery in Milford.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Donald Baschke, age 90, of Milford was held Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery in Milford.

Donald Clarence Baschke, the son of Martha (Underberg) Baschke was born on Aug. 7, 1932, in Milford.

Don grew up in Milford, living across the street from the St. Joseph Catholic Church, where he attended school and church services.

A funeral service for John Elder, age 86, was held Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake. Burial was at Lakeview Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Dec. 3, 2022, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2000 Diamond Dr., Los Alamos, New Mexico.

Charlotte "Anne" Studer, age 76, of Spirit Lake died at her home Nov. 8, 2022. A memorial visitation was held from Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake and was followed by a funeral service.

Paula Gerdes, age 70, of Spirit Lake passed away on Monday, Nov., 14, 2022, at the Spencer Hospital in Spencer.

Rickey (Rick) Paul Stoltzfus was born on May 25, 1945, in Sioux City to Louise Baade and adopted at three months to Ellen and Emmanuel Stoltzfus of Lake Park. Rick passed away on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, at home surrounded by loving family. Rick graduated from Lake Park Schools in 1963, furthering his education at Estherville Junior College and Mankato State before he was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Hayley Tuinstra, age 33, of Estherville, formerly of Lake Park, passed away on Monday, Oct. 31, 2022, at the University of Nebraska Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.

A celebration of life for Terry Teege will be held from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022, in the Queens Room at Village West Resort.

Terry Neal Teege, the son of George and June (Booth) Teege, was born Aug. 4, 1955, in Spencer. After graduating from Milford High School, he received his associates degree from Iowa Lakes Community College.

A funeral service for Betty Smith, age 91, of Spirit Lake was held on Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Burial was held on Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, at the Dickens Cemetery in Dickens.
