Ben J. Gerdes, Jr., age 83, of Milford passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023, at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake surrounded by his family after a brief battle with esophageal cancer.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert Eilers, age 76, of Milford was held Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery in Milford.

After much love and care, Margaret Browning Huey passed away peacefully on Friday, March 17, 2023, at the age of 98. She was born March 12, 1925, in Anamosa and was the daughter of Mary Underwood Remley and Earl Staten Browning. On Aug. 11, 1945, she married John Robert Huey, M.D., in Iowa City.

A memorial service for Beverly (Sauer) Wittler, age 76, of Spirit Lake was held Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at First Lutheran Church in West Okoboji. Inurnment was at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Spirit Lake. Memorials may be made out to Bonnie Knight and will benefit Beverly's favorite charities.

Susan Sundlin passed away at home on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mildred (Percival) Bibow, her sister Mary Ellen McDonald, four brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.

A funeral service for Roger Jones, age 89, of Okoboji, will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the United Methodist Church in Spirit Lake. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will be at Lakeview Gardens in Spirit Lake.

Sandra Austin, age 79, of Spirit Lake passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg.

Beverly Pearson, age 96, of Des Moines and formerly of Spencer died Monday, March 20, 2023 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. A celebration of life and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Pastor Deb Mechler is expected to officiate, and burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer. A memorial service for Dale Luehring, age 91, of Terril, was held Monday, March 20, 2023, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Terril. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery in Terril.

Roger Lee Kloster of Jackson, Minnesota, at the young age of 82, went to the Lord on Feb. 10, 2023. Roger had been diagnosed with dementia with mid-stages of Alzheimers in the fall of 2021 and passed away from the disease at Generations Memory Care in Mankato, Minnesota.
