Wayne Elmer Feller, age 74 of Milford, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 17, after his long and strong battle with various medical issues.

A funeral service for James H. Burgeson was held on Monday, Oct. 23, 2023 at Calvary United Methodist Church in Arnolds Park. A private family burial will take place at Lake View Gardens Cemetery in Okoboji.

James “Jim” Hale Burgeson “Burgy” passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at the age of 85, in Milford. His battle and determination with medical issues in the recent years showed his courage and love for his family.

Kristjan “Kris” Lee Stokke, age 54, of Spirit Lake passed away suddenly on Oct. 8, 2023. The funeral service was held Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at CrossWinds Church in Spirit Lake. A visitation was held Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, at the church.

Funeral services for Gladys Shultz, age 90, will be held at the Spirit Lake United Methodist Church in Spirit Lake. A visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Oct. 21, 2023 with a celebration at 10:30 a.m., followed by burial at Lakeview Gardens and a luncheon. Pastors Cindy Finn and son Erling Shultz will officiate. Grandsons Miles and August Shultz will be the vocalists, with daughter-in-law Barb Shultz as the organist.

Sandra "Sandy" Lorenz was born to Lawrence and Betty (Case) Brewer on March 17, 1951, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She resided in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she had four children. She married Daryll Lorenz on May 11, 1984, and they moved to Iowa in 1990.

A funeral service for Darlene Hartmann, age 91, of Lake Park was held Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Lake Park. Interment was at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Spirit Lake. Visitation took place prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. at the church.

Darlene passed away Oct. 5, 2023 at Aspire Care Center in Lake Park.

A funeral service for Ron Jenkins was held Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023 at First Presbyterian Church in Spirit Lake. Burial was at Lakeview Gardens Cemetery.

Ronald Dean Jenkins, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on Oct. 1, 2023, at his home in Milford. He was born on Aug. 5, 1937, in Marian to James and Lavonia (Ulrich) Jenkins.

A service to celebrate the life of Dwight W. Brinkley, age 80, was held on Oct. 1, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lawrence Kansas. Dwight passed away at hiss home in Lawrence on Sept. 6, 2023. Dwight was born on March 7, 1943, in Milford, the son of Dale and Gladys (Stukey) Brinkley.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Irma Reiser, age 90, of Milford was held Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Milford.

Irma Mae Reiser died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, at Keelson Harbor Assisted Living, in Spirit Lake with family at her side.

Feb. 13, 1952 - Sept. 21, 2023

Keith Lee Prentice, the son of Robert and Ruth (Wulkow) Prentice, was born Feb. 13, 1952 in Spirit Lake. He graduated from Terril High School.

On Sept. 8, 1973, Keith was united in marriage to Donna (Paulsen) Prentice in Round Lake, Minnesota. The family made their home and raised their children in Terril, where Keith worked numerous jobs, including tiling work in Wallingford.

A celebration of life service for Philip Den Herder, age 83, of Okoboji will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at First Presbyterian Church in Spirit Lake. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. and continue until service time at the church.

Philip Dean Den Herder, born on Aug. 2, 1940, in Sioux Center, peacefully passed away on Sept. 26, 2023. He was the son of Elmer and Christine (Vreeman) Den Herder.
