Wood E. Anderson, age 86, of Mason City, passed away at his home on Friday, Aug. 23, 2024.

A graveside memorial service was held on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2024, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City. Condolences may be expressed online at www.colonialchapels.com.

Wood Eugene Anderson was born May 7, 1938, in Iowa Falls, the son of Arnold and Jane Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Jean Anderson of Mason City; three children: Michael (Ginger) Anderson of Houston, Texas; Ned (Tammy) Anderson of Bella Vista, Arkansas; and Jane (Andy) Huffman of Navarre, Florida; a step-daughter, Dawn (Jane) Buchanan of Sikeston, Missouri; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Wood will be remembered for his love of family and his enjoyment of Iowa Hawkeye sports, fishing and the view across the lake.

Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel in Mason City has been entrusted with the care of Wood and his family.
