Marcella Marie Yender was born Oct. 3, 1923, on a farm just west of Early. She was the youngest daughter of Alwin Francis Yender and Pauline Katherine (Hartman) Yender. She had a sister Helen Elizabeth and two brothers Gilbert Joseph and Joseph Francis.

LeRoy Robert Heideman, born on June 30, 1939, in Nemaha to Alvin and Rita (Henrich) Heideman, passed away on Nov. 20, 2023, at the age of 84 at his home in Spirit Lake.

Earl’s life began on Jan. 10, 1939, in Lincoln, Nebraska — on Nov. 23, 2023, Earl shed his earthly pain at St Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.

Earl was born to parents Otis and Marie and was the apple of their eye. Earl was blessed to have his Grandpa Emor living with them as well. Their relationship was absolutely magical. Much to his parents' chagrin, it was chock-full of spoiling and rule breaking.

Milton Kurt Sturies, age 89, of Ogden passed away Nov. 11, 2023, at Accura of Ogden, following a lengthy illness.

He was born Jan. 12, 1934, in Spirit Lake to Kurt Otto Sturies and Cleo Arvilla Pollard.

He attended the Orleans/Spirit Lake Schools, graduating with the class of 1952. Milton entered the Army in 1953, serving during the Korean Conflict.

Bob Gunderson died on Nov. 13, at Aspire of Lake Park Care Center, surrounded by his family.

It’s with great sadness that the family of Paul Anthony Braunger, a much beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, announces his passing as of Nov. 9, 2023. For the past year, he courageously fought the effects of COVID, pneumonia and a cascading sequence of health problems. He was 87 years young.
