Soccer balls fly at University of Okoboji invitational

The 47th annual University of Okoboji Youth Soccer Tournament was held this last Saturday and Sunday, June 8-9 at the Bedell Family YMCA in Spirit Lake. The tournament, which hosted 64 different youth soccer teams across seven fields, aimed to promote the Iowa Great Lakes Region and the local CYSL soccer clubs. Things kicked off after an opening ceremony at 7:45 a.m., accompanied by a colorful olympic parade of teams with more than 1,100 boys and girls participating in the two-day tournament.
