Milford Holiday Fantasy brings weekend merriment

Many in the Milford Community were getting themselves in the holiday spirit Saturday during the annual Milford Holiday Fantasy. The Milford Commercial Club hosts the yearly event in downtown Milford, where several festive activities took place. Foot traffic in the Milford Memorial Library was steady on Saturday morning — the library hosted the judging of the Festival of Trees, a holiday craft, free holiday treats and an opportunity for youngsters to meet Santa Claus. The pre-Christmas crowds took to the streets later that morning to see the Holiday Fantasy parade as it started from St. Joseph Catholic Church and headed toward the Milford Community Building. There, volunteers were waiting to dish up free soup for visitors ahead of the commercial club's yearly raffle. (Photos by Seth Boyes)
