Los Chicos del 512 — a Selena tribute band — took the stage Saturday, June 3 at Preservation Plaza. The group’s performance was part of the Live at the Lake concert series hosted by historic Arnolds Park. According to the band’s website, the members of Los Chicos del 512 came together for one reason and one reason only: to bring the magic of Selena to old and new fans worldwide. Selena rocketed to stardom in the early ‘90s with hit songs like “Como la Flor” and “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” before being murdered in 1995 by Yolanda Saldivar, the president of Selena’s fan club and the manager of her boutiques. The Mexican-American singer was just 23 years old. (Photos by Matt Heinrichs)
