Vintage snowmobiles get up and go

A number of vintage snowmobile enthusiasts set out across the Lakes Area on Saturday. Numerous machines took off from the area near Clair Wilson Park and wove their way across both East Lake Okoboji and Spirit Lake, at times using some of the county's trail system. The event was organized by the Dickinson County Snowhawks. The local snowmobile club also grooms the county trails for use in the winter. Recent social media posts from the club indicated they expected to have groomed most of the county's trails by this past weekend. Information on the club's website said their volunteers groom more than 100 miles of trail in the county and organize rides for their members and families each year. (Photos by Dave Petrick)
