The Okoboji-Spirit Lake Good Neighbor Fund Drive will begin on Oct. 1. The charity organization, formed in 1958, operates to raise funds for local charities, such as the Bedell YMCA, Dickinson County Humane Society, Kings & Queens and the Pearson Lakes Art Program, among others.

The charity raises funds year-round with the sole mission of benefiting local nonprofit organizations.
