St. Albans Episcopal church in Spirit Lake invites all to an outdoor worship service on the church grounds at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29. This is an annual service commemorating the patron saint of animals, St Francis of Assisi, who was born in the 12th century.

Everyone is encouraged to bring your pet or a photo of your pet for a blessing during this brief service led by Reverend Carolyn Tuttle, priest in charge.
