It was a long and winding road for the fifth-ranked Pioneers and their 11 seniors, but they finally reached their destination. With a 40-34 win over Grundy Center in Clarion in late February, the Pioneers secured their first-ever trip to the IGHSAU State Basketball Championships in Des Moines.
